Best of British Ice Hockey Camps offer participants a unique opportunity to experience a weeks worth of training which will unquestionably benefit the participant in both the short and long term. Our programmes are specifically designed and structured to suit the skill level of the players in their respective groups ensuring that fundamental skills are always taught, developed, and refined. Advanced skills, individual tactics and team tactics are also introduced and taught based on the skill level and ability of the players within the group. Players are also sub-grouped based on overall ability to ensure they can learn and develop in a competitive environment with players of similar ability and thus avoid being left behind or held back.
During the week participants will receive a minimum of 3hrs ice time each day normally split over 2 ice-sessions. In addition they will also receive off ice activities such as ball games, quizzes, team building, and hockey specific dryland training as well as video/lecture sessions including the Total Hockey Interactive Instructional CD-Rom Series. Players will also receive a Best Of British Handbook (available to download online) and discuss topics ranging from skills and tactics to nutrition and goal setting.
The week starts off with registration followed by an official welcome meeting in which all parents and participants are introduced to the coaching staff and given an overview of the week ahead.
